We moved, friends!
so, there are many reasons for me to dislike substack. since joining that platform two years ago, i’ve been finding ways to actively work around it, while also focusing on my writing— but required something with more substance than just using convertkit or a regular newsletter, but also had a clean UI/UX that made me feel good about using it.
i will be frank and say that i will miss a lot of the former platform’s features, and how easy it was to use. but i couldn’t keep using it when it would eventually cost me a little more in the long run, especially if there were moral and ethical issues i had with the platform. they weren’t in accordance to my values as a consumer (which hey, again, forced to live under capitalism— not exactly enjoying it,) and even more so as a human, so after searching for alternatives, here we are.
what does this mean? (transparency!)
Well, for starters: I no longer have an option for paid subscriptions. My audience for this newsletter is small and mighty, but it doesn’t make sense for me to upgrade on this platform without enough people who show interest, and I’d need at least 2500 subscribers for that to make sense. Therefore, I’ve given anyone who was a paid subscriber a prorated refund, and invited them to subscribe here.
If you’d like to continue to support me as a loyal subscriber, please consider tipping me on PayPal, or consider booking me for a reading. If you want to book, I can give you a 10% off discount— please mention that you’re an email subscriber (I’ll confirm in my list) and book you in ASAP!
i appreciate all the love you have given me over the last two years. i’m so grateful for your support.
